Last time I checked Safelog costs about $50 less. Once you experiment a little it's not too bad, but it could be better. The only issue I have with Safelog is the printing of the logbook. For the few dollars per year the great support is makes it chump change. I will say they folks at Safelog have been great, I haven't had to renew yet but will. Ask some long time users and they can help you out. How Logbook Pro privides support and software updates I do not know, think that you must pay for any software up grades after 30 days. Though I don't use the service, Safelog now offers online back-up as well.Īs for renewing, the cost of renewal after the 3 year initial works out to be $12~$30 per year depending on how long you want to extend. Last time I checked Logbook Pro only made a syncable version for the Palm. Safelog also makes add-on version's for Pocket-PC's, Palm and Blackberry which can be sync'd with your computer at home, I think they are also working on a Smartphone and Symbian version. I makers of Safelog are very responsive to questions and update thier product reguarly. I saw the post saying that Safelog doesn't work well for 121, not sure where the issue lies, I see no issues at all. My opinion is that both work very well for 91, 135, 121 flying. Someone else might say the same for Logbook Pro. I use Safelog, I looked at Logbook Pro but chose Safelog because for me it seemed a little more intuitive. ![]()
